Terms & Dispatch Disclosure
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who We Are
San Luis Obispo Towing ("we," "us," "our") operates sanluisobispotowing.com and an associated telephone dispatch line. We are a towing referral and dispatch service. We are not a towing company: we do not own tow trucks, employ tow truck drivers, or personally perform towing, roadside assistance, or vehicle recovery services.
2. How Dispatch Works
When you call (805) 365-2372, our dispatch service connects you with an independently owned and operated towing company from our San Luis Obispo County network, selected based on proximity to your location and availability at the time of your call. The specific operator dispatched to you may vary from call to call.
Every operator in our network represents to us that it holds all licensing, permitting, and insurance required under California law to lawfully perform towing and roadside services, including compliance with applicable provisions of the California Vehicle Code governing towing notice, invoicing, and storage. We do not independently verify each operator's licensure or insurance on an ongoing basis, and you should ask the operator directly for their license and insurance information upon arrival if you wish to confirm it.
3. Pricing
Pricing for towing and roadside services is set and charged by the dispatched operator, not by us. Our dispatcher will provide a price estimate by phone before a truck is sent whenever possible, based on information available at the time (vehicle type, distance, and service needed), but the final invoice is issued by the operator who performs the work and may vary from the initial estimate based on conditions discovered on scene.
4. No Guarantee of Availability or Specific Operator
We make reasonable efforts to dispatch a qualified operator promptly to every call, but we do not guarantee a specific response time, the availability of any particular operator, or that a truck will be available at all times in every part of San Luis Obispo County, particularly during periods of high call volume, severe weather, or in remote areas.
5. Limitation of Liability
Because towing and roadside services are performed by independent operators and not by us directly, we are not liable for property damage, personal injury, delay, or any other loss arising from the performance (or non-performance) of towing or roadside services by a dispatched operator. Any claim related to the service itself should be directed to the operator who performed it; we're glad to help facilitate that conversation if you contact us.
6. Website Use
The content on this website, including service descriptions, pricing information, and FAQ content, is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute a quote, contract, or guarantee. Actual pricing and service availability are confirmed by phone at the time of your call.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
